At the University of Montenegro, Faculty of Maritime Studies Kotor, with the active participation of colleagues from the Institute of marine biology, the first regional interdisciplinary joint master academic program in English - MEP&M was accredited for two years (IV semester) with total of 120 ECTS. The universities that organize the joint master MEP&M program in addition to the University of Montenegro are Aleksander Moisiu University Durres and Ismail Qemali University Vlore from Albania. The program is intended for all interested students and employees in the public and private sector of the blue economy who have a diploma of completed basic studies (180 ECTS) in related fields (technical, natural, social and interdisciplinary sciences), with the aim of improving knowledge in the field of maritime environmental protection and management.
On the basis of before mentioned, the University of Montenegro organized as part of the "Open Day" a fair at the Faculty of Maritime Studies Kotor on April 4, 2024, symbolically marking the Students' Day and providing an opportunity for all students from the final years of undergraduate studies and professionals, to learn more about the application process and studying at the first accredited interdisciplinary joint master program in English in Montenegro.
