The event "Science and Innovation Days 2023" organized by the Faculty of Maritime Studies Kotor of the University of Montenegro in cooperation with the Municipality of Kotor under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Technological Development aimed to popularize science and scientific research, with an emphasis on the increasing involvement of young people.
During September 29 and 30, 2023 representatives of the Faculty and other scientific and educational institutions presented interesting activities aimed at science and the development of scientific thought. In the premises of the Creative Hub in the Old Town of Kotor, the exhibitors presented a large number of different experiments, projects, lectures, workshops, games, quizzes and other contents that promote experimental science and modern technologies. This was a great opportunity to present to the public the international Erasmus+ project "Development of Regional Joint Master Program in Maritime Environmental Protection and Management - MEP&M". Representatives of the Faculty had the honor of presenting the visitors with equipment and experiments aimed at the idea of preventing sea and coastal pollution, as well as the possibility of monitoring marine and environmental parameters for the purpose of identifying potential pollution risks. During the two days of the event, the Creative Hub was visited by a large number of primary and secondary school students from the coastal and other cities of Montenegro, as well as a large number of interested citizens and tourists. Everyone enjoyed the presentation of the equipment and the experiments on removing pollutants from the sea. In addition to the Faculty, the Institute of marine biology of the University of Montenegro also participated in the event.
